List not displayed in output

Hello friends,

I am doing a material master posting to SAP system through bapi.When the posting takes places , if the bapi_return-type is E , I write error for the material and also set a traffic signal - RED similarly if bapi_return-type is S , i write successful along with a green signal . Now my problem is that when seen in the debugging mode I can see the list . But once the exection is over the output list is not being displayed , rather it returs to selection screen . How to make the list displayed.If there is any ambiguity in my question let me know .
