vendor part number on PO?

Hi GUrus,

How can we have the vendor part number automatically appear on SAP PO's? This doesn't seem to be happening at the moment and we need to ensure that the vendor is properly notified

Dear Vemulapati,

I think you are talking about manufacturing part number,if it is correct you need to do this....

Manufacturer Part Number is also nothing but Vendor number,if you want to this display in PO you need to maitain first in material master then automatically appear when PO is doing

no this is the vendor material number on the material data tab of the PO. which is also present on the inforecord general data

Were you maintain vendor material in inforecord,i mean in creating info record it is not appear ,when you come change or display mode only it will appear so you have to maintain in change info record mode

please check above path

the field is right there in general data view when you create an info record with ME11

and if that is not the case in your system, then you have to maintain your field selection in IMG > MM > purchasing > purchasing info record >

You need to first create the Inforecord ME11 with the material Vendor and other combination.

Maintain source list Me01 and fix the vendor.
