Trigger Emails to External Mail Id's From Workflow When User Decision is Clicked in SAP

Hi Friends,

I was creating a Workflow Scenario for Material Master Creation/Change using Delegation of Standard BO BUS1001006. This Workflow having Option of Approve/Rejection using User Decision step in SWDD. When ever a Material Code is Created/Changed in SAP i am getting a notification in my SAP Inbox i.e. SBWP with approve and reject option. Now I Want to send a mail to external mail id using standard functionality of SAP i.e. Send Mail Step in SWDD.

I have configured that also but no mail is getting triggered to external mail id's even not in SOST/SCOT. Kindly suggest me the solution.

Thanks for your responses. Actually there was issue due to RFC Destination for Workflow was not configured. Resolved now.

Hi,

check settings in SO16 tab Mail sy.grp if Send to home addresses of users is selected.

Also check if the users have an email address maintained in user data SU01 with communication method INT E-mail.

Hi,

This might either be an authorization issue of the workflow background user or smtp config issue. To check:

1. Could you please confirm if the workflow background user , WF-BATCH has full authorization.( Profiles: SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW)

If not please get them assigned to WF-BATCH. And try again.

2. Also please try sending a test mail from tcode sbwp--> new message.

Please revert with the results.
