Wrong Industry sector selected..?

hi all

If created using wrong industry sector, what will be effect or problem durin process.

Can anybody explain me clearly.

There is an6y possiblities to create new material with same material code .

Industry sector is a factor determining the screen sequence and field selection in a material master record. Once you have assigned an industry sector to a material, you cannot change the industry sector again afterwards.

You would need to archive the material master that has the wrong industry sector.

Then you can re-use the material number, if you allowed external number assignment for your material type, and this number is within the range of external number assignment.

Archiving of a material is only possible if the material is not used in any depending data like sales order, purchase order, production order, bill of material , info record, source list etc, etc.

And it must not had stock within current or previous year.

Hi

In SPRO- SAP IMG - Logistics general- Material master- Field selection - Define Indcutry sector or Industry specific screen selection.

In this field selection will vary based on the Industry sector.
