Sorting in Query Designer

Dear All,

When we click on a filter icon of any of the rows on the report then it displays all the values of that particular infoobject. Now my user wants to see the values displayed in filter screen in a sorted manner.

How do i achieve this?

There is a option of sorting in query designer but that will only sort in the main reporting screen not on the filter screen.

Hope my question is clear.

Immediate help is appreciated.

Hi Anup,

If you are viewing the report in BEx Analyzer(7.x),here you have an option to sort the filter content

1.Insert a filter design item in the report

2.Go to the Properties of the Filter item

3.Go to Dimensions tab and drop the Available Dimensions to Selected Dimensions

4.Sort the dimensions through "Change Order" icons based on your requirement

This will sort the content of the Filter item in Analysis Mode(when you view it)

Hi,

I dont view report in the BEx Analyzer. We view the report through SAP Enterprise portal. The feel is same as we see report through rsrt tcode.

I am in BW 3.5 environment.

Hi,

If the filter screen which you meant is a Selector screen where you select the values to be filtered,then the Chevron shown in the selector screen,sort the values(Ascending or Descending).

Is this the problem you are facing...
