Audit before maintenance

Hi frnds !

1>Can we do a audit before maintenance that whether maintenance is required or not and then only order should be created thorugh maint plan?

2>How we maintain a particular buffering period so that prod' guys shd came to know about the maintenance ?

3>If a machine is going under maintenance at the same place whr it is installed so which work center has to maintained ,shd it b the PP wrk center ,how it affect the system to response?

For plant maintenance manual lot is not possible !

I got the solution for this ,U can create a maint plan ME category which generates Notification, If maint not reqd simply close it or else create an order wrt notification and preform the maint operations.
