Target Structure in LSMW

Hi friends,

Can you please explain the difference between the target structure and source structure in LSMW

Hey...

I will just make an attempt...

During Batch recoding method, Data which is captured from the data file which is in the .txt format will be uploaded in to the structure which is called Source structure.

This structure should have the same field order as in the file

When come to the target structure, Data will will passed from the source structure to the target structure one it is manipulated through recording...

Hope this should be fine......

Hi,

While working with LSMW,

in the second step, we should create source structures by giving suitable names.

in the third step, we should create the body of the structures with required fields names,length and description.

Target structures are predefined structures avilable in the system.

we should match the each and every field in source structure with corresponding field in target structures.

Unless source and target structures are matched , furthur steps in LSMW wll not be executed.
