Material short text transfer using LSMW

Hi!

We are in the process of loading changes to our material master data using LSMW & load file conaining existing mateial data + changes(delimited .txt file). We do not face any issues with other data except material short text having " ( like :12" valve). We have noticed that after the data trasnfer the existing short text (like: 12" valve) gets changed to ( "12"" valve) - it gets additional " "(at the start & end ). All other short tet data stays ok. Please guide on how to avoid this. It may happen with some other special characters also (like , - although the question right now is for ".

Do we need to add "i" infront of existing text data so that it may not change?

Please guide. We are on ECC6.0.
