ERROR max no of cpic clients exceeded (2000)

Hi all,

We are the error max no. of CPIC clients exceeded (2000) when logging through ESS Portal

Please help me to resolve this soon.

Hello Kalyan,

you will have Increase the value of the gw/max_sys parameter in the backend system

Refer to Notes 314530 and 894100 and you will be able to solve the issue

I saw the note and it says to increase gw/max_sys(which is max no of gateway clients)

Do we need to change the parameter gw/max_conn (which is max. no. of active connections)

Can you explain what active connections mean(is it both gui and rfc)

what is the current value of gw/max_sys?

You will need to increase the value of gw/max_sys only because the error that you are getting is maximum no of CPIC connections exceeded

Also active connections include both gui and RFC

hi,

gw/max_sys is 2000

and gw/max_conn is also 2000.

What i want to know is if i increase gw/max_sys to 4000...should that be necessary to also increase the parameter gw/max_conn to 4000.

yes you will need to increase both the parameters otherwise you will face the same problem when the no of active connections go beyond 2000

you will get the error as man no of active clients exceeded
