We are moving into test phase with our queries and a user crashed our portal. The admin is telling me that the qry took 186s to process and returned 4200 pps.
We have a number of things going on to aleviate that the first is to put the cube in BWA and the other is to limit the number of rows that the user can return to the portal.
There are some settings in SE38 report SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN that allows use to set limits as follows:
Use parameter BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_DEF to set the standard size restriction for the result set for all queries and query views. The recommended setting is 500,000 cells.
Use parameter BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX to set the maximum size restriction of the result set that can be entered manually by a user for a given query view (see below).
So my question is to the experts is what kinds of row settings are you making in your config?
