MSS configuration questions

Hello,

I am going round in circles with the configuration of the MSS and maybe someone can help me.

I configured CATS to use an task that leeds to an item in the UWL. This works fine.

The thing I don't get is the following:

Pressing the link to open the task for the time approval the wrong URL is getting called. Regarding this I am wondering where this link comes from. Is it an system (i.e. with the SAP_XSS_WEBDYNPRO alias)? Or is it configured in the task? Where can I configure it and what is the right path to the application? Using the URL myHostToThePortal:myPort/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/mss_catapproval/CatManagerApprove gives the error: The requested deployable object 'sap.com/mss_catapproval' and application 'CatManagerApprove' are not deployed on the server. Should this application be on frontend or backend side?

Hello Vanessa,

You shall check the system alias and the system connections for using the universal worklist.

1. In the portal, choose System Administration-> System Configuration->Universal Worklist and Workflow -> Universal Worklist -> UWL Systems Configuration.

2. Create the following system connections:

If you have already registered a suitable connector to the system connected to the system alias, the existing connector is sufficient and you do not have to register an additional one.

i System alias: SAP_ECC_Financials

Connection types:

§ WebFlowConnector

§ AlertConnector

ii System alias: SAP_ECC_HumanResources

Connection type WebFlowConnector

iii System alias: SAP_SRM

Connection type WebFlowConnector

Leave the Web Dynpro Launch System field blank for all system connections.

Hello Vanessa,

You have not deployed MSS BP XSS files.

For MSS implementation you need MSS BP 1.0, SAP_MSS 600 , SAP_PCUI_GP.

For downloading BP and XSS files follow following path.

service.sap.com/swdc

Path for downloading XSS files:

-> SAP Support Packages

-> Entry by Application Group

-> SAP Application Components

-> SAP ERP

-> SP ERP 6.0

-> Entry by component

-> SAP XSS (Self Services)

XSS softwars components:

SAPMSS SAP_MSS 600

SAPPCUIGP SAPPCUI_GP 600

Path for downloading Business Packages:

-> SAP Support Packages

-> Entry by Application Group

-> SAP Application Components

-> SAP ERP

-> SP ERP 6.0

->Entry by component

-> Portal Content

Business Packages:

BP_ERP5MSS 1.0

BP_ERP5COM 1.0

After downloading the XSS files deploy them using JSPM.

Then complete the configuration for system and jco. You can go through help documentation link mentioned below for further information.

Hello and thanks for your answer. I am just installing the component you told about.

Nevertheless my UWL item-action will connect to the wrong server. I have a frontend (portal that I have also configured for the alias SAP_XSS_WEBDYNPRO) and the backend-system.

The item tries to call the mss-application on the backend ... and I don't know where to configure this (is it the uwl-item or the system-aliases that are wrong)
