IDES POST INSTALLATION

Dear Gurus ,

SAP ECC 6.0 , Windows 2003 Server 64 bit , DB2 , 4GB RAM , 320 GB HDD

While Post installation of ECC 6.0 , i take too time to complete SGEN Transaction, still not completed

it shows

Data for Current Job:

Job Name : RSPARAGENER8 Start time : 17:21:25

Job Status: Active Start Date : 29\04\09

Progress: 19% Complete Edited Objects 47658 from 251408

Complete in Approx : 99 Hours 16 Minutes...

when I Check SM50 STATUS -

> ON HOLD and SM37 -

---

> Active

Give Me suggestion to Complete the Post Installation......and Whether the post installation is Correctly Going or Any issues .........

for IDES POST INSTALLATION -----> STMS/Upgrade kernel/update your patches are Mandatory to do.....

YES Its mandatory as per installation document but as of now you are running SGEN let it finish and proceed with reset of the steps you missed out

This will change accordingly

Being ECC6 ideas system you have lot of objects to be regenerated it will take time.

As korva said you should have configured STMS/Upgrade kernel/Import profiles/update your patches then you would have run SGEN.

after SAP IDES Installation , i done Import profiles.....after that i excute SGEN ......i didnt done

STMS/Upgrade kernel/update your patches .....

SGEN do take time and also based on number of components selected. Are you following post installation steps from your installation manual?

From where you got the post installation activities i mean to say which installation guide you are using now.ifirst do the kernel upgradation then patching then try to run SGEN.
