Functional perspective (FICO) of SAP upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0

My client is planning to upgrade the SAP application from 4.7 to ecc 6.0. I am working as a SAP FICO consultant and want to understand my role during this upgrade project. Any documentation will be very helpful.
