Why I am getting this error in system logs:Operating system call getaddrinfo failed

This call is recurring after fixed intervals.

I checked in traces and found : ERROR hostname 'ciecw.wdf.sap.corp' unknown.

I checked in RFC traces and found that this exists in RFCDEST table for an destination : T90CLNT090.

Please help me.

Dear Partish,

The destination data provider is always connectoed to a partner. It can be e.g. mesasge server, dispatcher, SAP gateway etc.

The issue appears if this partner is down or not reachable due to some network issue. Please do the followings:

1. I would recommend you to check following note and test conenction towards partner as per SAP Note: 1341701 - partner 'hostname:service' not reached

2. Also check the partner's settings using note:52959 - sapms..., sapdp.., sapgw.. unknown (or not found)

3. Verify if the host where destination is present is able to reach the hostname using OS commands (i.e. ping, traceroute, nslookup) from the affected system. If not, please ask for internal IT team assistance to verify the resolution for the hostname issue at OS level.

I was terminating the JVM forcefully in my application and for this i have raised a ticket with SAP.
