WBS budget reg

Hi SAP Gurus,

Asset POs of previous FY are carried forward to next FY at year end with their encumbered amounts. If we need to increase PO amount, system gives budget exceeded in WBS and we ask Budget office to manually transfer the WBS budget from previous to current FY .

Can you pl.throw some light on this issue.

Hi Hanuma,

If you are maintaining annual bugets and not overall budgets, you have to carry forward the budget amount at the start of the next fiscal year... If you don't want to do this, then why don't you maintain overall budget ?

The Client is maintaining both Overall and Annual Budget.But,I am not PS guy.You mean to say that Annual Budget means to carry forward and overall Budget means no need to carry forward any way it will be continued.Am I correct?

Hi Hanuma,

Yes, you create a budget profile with only overall values allowed. Allocate the overall budget... now this budget will be available till the lifetime of the project... you don't need to carry forward this whereas if you maintain annual budget then you have to carry forward this to the next year if you have not separately allocated a budget for the next year... (For eg. u had maintained INR 1000 for 2009 and INR 0 for 2010, and if you have INR 200 left in this 2009 budget, you have to carry forward this to 2010) if your project is still not completed.
