Solution Manager to Monitor SAP NetWeaver Portal

Hi ,

I have setup Solution Manager 4.0 SP11 and I have a production EP.

I want to monitor the EP using Solution Manager. The monitoring would check if the portal is down and if it is down, the Solution Manager would send a email to the Portal Administrator.

In order to achieve the above monitoring setup, do I need to install Solution Manager Diagnostics?

    Configure GRMG monitoring and in RZ20 node, assign the autoreaction email method

    or you can configure availablibility via ccmsping too,

    Yes. You need to setup diagnostics.
