Create custom characteristic

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to create a mapping between a custom characteristic created in the BW system and the 7.0 datasource containing the master data. I have both of these in my BW system but am not sure how to define the mapping. Please advise!

Have the custom characteristic in your data target and map it using direct mapping in the transformation...? anything specific that has been missed out in your question ?
