Are there any recommendations with respect to whether or not hyperthreading should be enabled or disabled on a BOE XI R3.1 system. Some systems such as biztalk, sql server and citrix recommend disabling hyperthreading.
Hyperthreading does work and we have been running BOBJ on hyperthreaded CPU's for quite some time. I was more interested in whether or not anyone has experience with turning hyperthreading off to see if performance actually improved, such as the case with SQL server and Citrix.
I can't imagine how disabling access to part of the processor resources (hyperthreading) could improve performance. In all cases I have enabled it to improve performance with my BO VM's
