I have a scenario in our landscape, we have one entity where our ownership is 30% but the client wants to consolidate this entity based on the management control where they have control of 70%.
Having said that, client wants to consolidate this equity entity using purchase method and book the minority interest?
Please provide your expert opinion as to how can we achieve this.
I think we can input the POWN and PCON data to the BPC and use PCON data entered here for the calculation.
If we use the PCTRL for the consolidation, then we may need to run the ownership calculation and the entire group will have the method of consolidation suggested by the ownership calculation which could be incorrect.
Can we create a separate method code in the methods table and a separate method based multiplier using PCON and consolidate this entity under purchase method?
