ALD Quote tenplate size is huge!

Curious problem,

we have been encouraged to use ALD to definbe standard quote docs - these include a logo graphic which started as a 20kB jpeg and a footer which is about 10kB

when this is converted to a pdf - single A4 Sheet

file size becomes 600KB Av size - we were expecting 60kB???

and obviously gives storage issues.

Local tech support can't offer any support
