Dears,
We have set up the system messages (06 152 and 608 as error). However still it is possible that the user can change the description after the release/po creation. How to prevent this. We don't want to do this in release starategy (block PR totally).
Thanks.
hi,
remove the change options for the user through authorzation settings.

HI,
THe above setting can be done at the screen Layout config,
they can be done at the screen layout defined at the doc level.
or in the screen layout directly,at the T code level.
the Path is
SPRO> Material Management> Purchasing>Purchase req> Purchase req Doc type
here for the Docment type we want to make the setting ,take that doc type and go to the Path
SPRO> Material Management> Purchasing> Purchase req>Define screen layout at doc level.
so slect the screen layout at the top and go inside and go to the tab Basic data ,item
and in this tab there is a feild called short text ..make it as display.so that user cant change at all.
or else go to the feild selction Me52/Me52n and same tab of Basic data ,item
and in this tab there is a feild called short text ..make it as display.so that user cant change at all.
hope so it helps
Regards

You do not have to block the PR entirely. You can use the Field Selection Key in the "released" indicator to determine the fields that are changeable in the PR once it has been released. You set the attributes of the PR fields in the key under "Define Screen Layout at Document Level". The standard field keys used in release strategies are:
FZ01 Release status 1
FZ02 Release status 2
FZ03 Release status 3
I have created a custom Z key and have had pretty good results as what is changeable once a PR has gained the released status.
