TS20000168 workflow sent to all users

Former Member

Hi all,

I need help with the following problem:

I have set up TS20000168 (mm_po_ok) for workflow notification to be sent when the release of a purchase order is effected. For the activity "Release of purchase order effected", I have already set the agent using the expression &_WF_INITIATOR&.

However, when the workflow is triggered, all my users, instead of only the initiator, will get a similar message in their inbox. Why is this so? Is there something I should look out for?

Any form of help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hey goto SWBP and inthat goto workflow settings . In that there is one option for Refresh Organizational structure .Do it and then relogin and check that one.

When the PO release is triggered and the task workflow is activated, i try to go to the workflow overview and view the agent for the workflow. (I.e. Workflow log -> View: WF Chronicle -> 'Agent' button)

However I get the following message:

"All users can process this task"

I believe this indicates work items are being sent to all users.

I have checked the bindings; this task is being used in its standard form; no changes to the bindings have been done at all.

Hi Daniel,

Please check whether the "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" is checked or not.If not keep that check box checked as in that case if the rule does not returns any value the workitem goes to every user.

Hello,

Tr it with the username of the workflow initiator filled in as the agent (US.....) instead of WF_INITIATOR.

Maybe there's a problem with that user for some reason.

As mentioned in my previous reply, the task has already been set as a general task.

Hi,

I am using the same workflow it working fine.

1) Check it is general Task, if you developing in one client and testing in another client, then in the testing client check whether it is general Task

2) Check the binding is as below,

Workflow to Task

&RELEASECODE& -

> &RELEASECODE&

&PURCHASEORDER& -

> &_WI_OBJECT_ID&

Task to workflow

&PURCHASEORDER& -

> &_WI_OBJECT_ID&

3) Then Save & activate and test the workflow

4) If still same problem, check any authorization issue.

Hello,

Strange. Please do SWU_OBUF and try again.

I have tried SWU_OBUF before; the issue still persists.

Do I have to maintain any agent rules within the task itself? The task TS20000168 is defined as a general task.

Cheers.

Hello,

So TS20000168 is being called in a workflow; you have that task set as General Task and the agent is WF_INITIATOR?

Check again that you have WF_INITIATOR filled in correctly, that's all I can think of. Make sure it's chosen from the pull-down menu.

Is "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" checked for that task. If not, do so and see if it throws an error.

Rick has given the clear clue here.

Check again that you have WF_INITIATOR filled in correctly

Check at the WF triggering event binding, whether you are passing the EVT_CREATOR ( something closer to this name) to the WF_INITIATOR. This should be the issue.
