Company Code has not executed a depreciation run (transaction code AFAB)

Client has not executed a depreciation run for a specific company code since September 2007. The current period is April 2009. Obviously the financial posting periods have long been closed. What are the alternatives to getting depreciation for this company code up to date and providing the ability to execute AFAB going forward. Any insight to this issue will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

In standard, there is just one possibility: you should open the periods again, and make unplanned depreciation run for period 12 2007 and period 12 2008. If no depreciation is to be posted in this time interval as there is no depreciation calculated, then you can use the report from the note 144441. Please make sure you test this solution first!
