Fiscal year change issues..

Hi,

We closed year-end using AJAB. Then we changed FY 2011. In OAAQ, we found the year properly updated as 2011. However, when posting was tried, system says that fiscal year change has not been carried out for 2011. What could be the source of this error?

Check again the AJRW and see the messages whether it has been done or not. May you might have run the program in test mode only. Run the program in background again. Check the job log in SM37 for errors if any

Hi,

AJRW is running into error for year 2011. Have you ever come across such problem when using future year? We had to select a future year for testing purposes.

It looks like this is a know issue in AA. It is not advisable to use future years for AA postings, though sometimes it is preferred in testing scenario.

Hi,

Have you run t-code AJRW? This is to carry forward all assets into the new fiscal year. This should be done before running t-code AJAB.

Thanks for responding. I did run AJRW. OAAQ also shows closed fy as 2010.

Hi,

Some clarity is required here. If you have changed the asset FY to 2011 do you want to generate asset postings in 2011? If yes, then your asset FY in OAAQ should be 2010 or 2009 (depending on which asset FY you have closed using AJAB).
