Inventory Mapping

Dear All

I am taking the physical inventory, After finishing my inventory there is lot of difference between system stock and physical stock i want to know what are all possible reason for mismatching of stock i wnt possible reasons w.r.t PP,MM and QM

For Example

1) Component quantity in BOM is not w.r.t physical consumption

2) GR not made

3) Components not presented in BOM

Hi,

As you consider the production, the cause of the difference is "not maintian the scrab inventory properly.

suppose you plan for 100 numbers for production and usually in production gi is done for the components more than 100 nos. so if you do any scrap and if you not maintian in the sap. so while do the production confirmation for 100 qty. system update the gi for 100 qty component alone.so there will be the mismatch in sap and actual if you not update the scrap details.

For the first point, the people in PP might have changed the BOM of the production order as the required qty might have varied.... In CO02.... OR they might have consumed excess or deficit qty physically but have not changed that in the system....

the the next point ,check in MB51 movement type 101...( goods receipt)..

I am not bale to understand the third point....please be more clear..

Dear,

1) If BOM is wrong ex :- Component and Qty.

2) Instial Stock upload wrong.

3) Delted component or qty in production order or Confirmation.

4) Good issue Not done.

5) GR Not done.

Please check MB51 with all movement type for the material you will come to know the difference.

Dear All

Here my scenaro is REM and component list in MFBF t-code is in display mode only.I want overall reason for mismatch i am not asking w.r.t production planning alone and i am taking physical inventory for whole plant.So, i am seeing mismatch for all material type not only for ROH,FERT,HALB

All these are possible reason for inventory mismatch for all materials of plants.

Suppose some material are consumption you have to post it to cost center by 201 movement but user has not done this then physical it is already consumed but in system still it is there.

Physical movement take place but in system user have not done it then how you will get output without input.

Also check stock laying to vendor. PO Gr done for excess qty than Physical.

May stock in quality all these are possible reason please check in MB51 all movements for all material and compair then.
