CVC creation does not run time series job at times (PBOB_DELTA_SYNC)

We use ver 4.1 SP 18.

When users create a single CVC thru MC62, they choose "adjust time series objects immediately".

This normally launches the time series job in the background called "PLOB_DELTA_SYNC".

Most of the time this works. However, once in awhile, the job stays in a "released" status when you look at it in SM37.

The time series is not created and you get the error "NO Livecache anchor found" if you try to bring up the CVC in a planning book. We know how run the time series pgm separately to complete the CVC, but we just can't figure out why the PLOB_DELTA_SYNC job are not running at times.

The strange thing is that the CVC shows it was created in the CVC create log thru MC62 "Manage Log" screen, but in reality, the CVC is not completed because the time series did not run.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Alternatively you can re-initalize the planning area which inturn re-generates the time series when ever your consistency check is not working to solve live cache anchor error .

Thanks for your input.

A few days after after my original post to this forum I submitted this issue to SAP. The issue is due to an existing "PLOB_delta_Sync job running when the user tries to submit another consecutive CVC creation (it submits another "PLOB_delta_sync job in the background). SAP recommended applying pilot note 1263050. This note will display a message on the bottom of MC62 stating that "An existing PLOB_Delta_Sync job is already running, no new job schedule".

The user will have to watch for this error message and just try to re-execute the transaction after a few mins. The note seems to work.

Thanks,

Steve
