500 Internal Server error

Former Member

Hi,

I have added a mandatory variable to existing query.

Its running fine when i execute it through the analyser.

Previously when i am running through portal its running fine.

After doing the changes to the query when i am trying to execute it through Portal its giving

"500 Internal Server Error".

Its saying that "exception occurred when processing the request",

the exception message is "Java.lang.Illegalstate.Exception".

Please help to fix this issue.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

This could be the portal issue. The respective portal for the backend might be down.

Without the variable they are able to execute the query through the link.

They are saying that its not portal problem , they are syaing its query problem.

Please help on this.

Hi,

You mean to say the variable causing the issue. In that case,

i) Check the length of the variable name, make it short(< 20 characters)

ii) Make it as a optional variable and try

iii) Create a new variable and check whether it solves the issue or not

Hi,

Let run the query in rsrt and check it. Is there the same error?

Kind regards

Hi,

"500 Internal Server error" does not say anything regarding the real error, you must ready further down in the error message to find the cause of the problem (usually this is written in red text). Check what this is and either search for that on SAP Support or post it here and we might be able to help.

Best regards,
