Hi Friends,
While replacing the device in EG30 i m facing following error:
Device XXXXXXdoes not exist
Diagnosis
You have entered a device number (not the equipment number).
I checked the new device no in IQ02. but it is existing. only thing is that it is not having IS data tab .
how to bring that tab ?
pls help....

Hi,
Did you create the device using IQ01? Field EQTYP should be selected when creating the device...
Have a look at note 531203 OR...
Another suggestion for you to do is to archive/delete the effected device using transactions SARA/SARI and recreate a new one. This way you can create the IS-U specific data in one step and you'll be sure that the device is consistent from the start.

Thanks for reply,
I gone through the setting , it due to the fact that equipment is created with equipment category M & then it has has been changed manually to the required material no & serial no . & then Equipment category is manually chaged to I (IS-u ).
Due to this if I go to IQ02 there is no IS- data Tab page. But category is showing 'I' on the top also page it showing "PRT data" instead of "IS data".
now how can I get IS data tab page here?

Hi,
You could try to run the reports contained in notes 531203 and 648605...
Try this on you test or dev system first....
