Inspection type -Auto UD

Hello Guys,

As I do not want to use the Std SAP ins type 01 for procurement...I just customized as 0100 by

copying 0101 and also did proper assignments as same as 01.

But when I try to run some test by assigning 0100 with active ...it did not create the inspection lot.

I came back to Qm view and flagged the prefered ins type along with active flag....then I can see

ins lot was created....so ..everytime if we create our own ins type..do we need to flag the preffered

ins type ? normally by falgging active check mark...it should work as if we just clone the std one.

please tell me if i am doing anything worng on this ?

my next problem...I did set up a variant for auto UD for my new inspection type 0100 for procurement

but it did not do a auto UD for me even schedule is successfully finished n qa17....I did check

my part to verify auto UD falgged and skip allowed for DMR ....but it is not working for normal lots

and also skipp lots...i also flagged auto ud for skip lots in my variant..

pls advise...
