New blog review time

When I signed up for a blog, the welcome email said:

The approval process usually takes 1-3 days. Then you are either 
notified regarding changes or your blog is published.

I posted my first entry on last Friday the 17th, but haven't heard anything back yet. Is this normal? Thanks.

Thanks for pointing this out, the time frame has changed since we moved the approval process over to the new Blog Moderators (your peers) which was done to ensure that your content is reviewed and approved by those knowledge in that particular topic space. A side effect though is that it may take up to a week or longer depending on the individual blog moderators time schedule.

Ok, that's fine -- it was just the inconsistency between the email and reality that got me. I assume it will be updated soon with the new procedures?

I see it was indeed reviewed over the weekend. Thanks! However, it was turned down because the content was "best suitable for Wiki". This isn't really encouraging, since I've been blogging on my own site for 8 years now, and thought I had a reasonable understanding of what made a good blog post.

About a year ago the community had a rather large uproar about "type of content" being posted to the blog, which became a growing interest/issue when we introduced the wiki back in Oct 2006.

Step by step, how to, FAQ, things that can/should be/will be updated or added to were said to be wiki and personal experience, opinion, strategy, etc. was blog content.

I did not see your post so I can't comment there directly but I can add that most of my original blog content wouldn't pass the standard set here either despite being here already.

We, the community team, are always open to re-discuss the topic and bring it back to the front if there are several who want to re-look at "what classifies as a blog". Just start a new thread here and if enough of the community gets involved and wants to either change, enhance or redefine we are willing to discuss.

Is Status of your Blog is Ready for Approval? if no than Please Edit and Select the Radio button Ready for Approval and Submit.

If Status is already Ready for Approval than it may take more than 3 Working Days no problem hope will soon Approved.
