User Retrieve Error in CMC

Have a few users in Group XYZ. Some of the users belong to 2 different domains...GOVT\user01 and NTDP\user01. I updated the group in the CMC under Authentication\Windows NT tab. NT Authentication is enabled (checked) as is Single Sign On. Update seems to go ok (screen refreshes). When i go to the "Users" folder and click on user01 to view his profile, I get the a "Retrieve Error" that says:

NT Authentication failed to get the NT groups for the account with ID "GOVT\user01". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain

Said user already exists in the other domain (NTDP). The update was to add user in the GOVT domain.

Now I can't view the user profile. So, cannot tell whether an alias was added for that domain or whether the update worked at all.

Suggestions?
