Calling from the VC application -> integration with IP Telephone

Hello,

We have the Sales Role (Sales Cockpit), designed for our customer using VC. The Sales role needs to be enhanced with the calling functionality. Client has IP telephones.

Can somebody please suggest on if that is possible, if yes how that can be done? Any How to guides would be helpful? Are IP telephones enough or some other calling / voip devices needs to be integrated?
