Business One 2005A Version Prices and Validity Period Mass Change Solution

Dear Experts,

1.) When a price change is forthcoming (mass change but not on all items) what will be the best solution?

Scenario 1: Quarterly item price change for various parts of catalog products that are not well organized by item groups.

Scenario 2: Some catalog products not well organized by item groups periodically go on sales campaign for a limited period of time. Post discount campaign sales, prices resume normal.

2.) Hierarchies and Expansions > Price List Item Details by Period:

Which DTW template is applicable? SpecialPrices? SpecialPricesDataAreas? Or, these two files are to be loaded together?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
