Work Manager 6.2 Notification not updated after post

Hi,

we are using the SAP Work Manager 6.2.

After the NotificationPostCurrent action, the new notification exists in SAP.

Property" but it is not updated on the client.

What changes are required to make this feature working?

Raphael,

Have you also checked the Agentry logs to see if the notification number is passed back to the Work Manager Java layer and then to the client?

Hi Raphael,

Please verify the Notification Object->Transactions->NotificationPostCurrent->Update Steps->NotficationPostSteplet->"Response to Client" attribute.If this attribute is set to "Delete Client Object", then the new Notification will be removed from client but will be updated to back end system.If a new Notification is created from the client, then the appropriate value for "Response to Client" attribute will be "Update Client Key Property".

I am using "Update Client Key Property" but I have also tested "Replace Client Object" but in both cases nothing happens on client side.

Hi Raphael,

Please verify configuration panel filters for Notification Mobile Data Object and Client Globals. Try to debug the back end ABAP class for Notification Fetch.Verify if the data is retrieved and passed to middle ware.

Have you defined any custom screen in front end to display the notifications.If so verify the object collections for the screen.

Hi Sravanthi,

I receive notifications by the fetch but for my process it's to late. I need the single notification number from the transaction. We use a customized WorkManager, but I have also tested with the "standard" Workmanager to avoid a mistake by our adjustments.

Which point in the Mobile Data Object Configuration is relevant for transaction response?

I think the data were passed to the SMP server. When I enable server debugging I can see the created notif num in the log file.

Hi Raphael,

Once the Notification Number is updated in back end system(transaction process completed and response is sent to the client), it need to be fetched to front end.Now Notification fetch will run that will retrieve the data.During fetch process, Notification Mobile Data Object filters will also play a key role.Notification Number is generated in back end but in Business logic it might be filtered(based on MDO filters/global settings).Debug back end and middle ware logic.

Hi Raphael,

Do you have any error at all in the logs for your post notification update?

Can you double check this SAP KBA limitation if it is related to your issue:

Notifications with different assignment types are not downloaded to the client - SAP Work Manager.

2) Also check if you have completed the notification and hence you may be experiencing this:
