After turning back depreciation SAP is extending the UL of the assets

Dear Experts,

I have a situation where I had the assets shutdown for several periods and changed depreciation key to zero because my system is using weighting periods and days method. Now need to turn depreciation back For the situation when I turn depreciation back on - I have performed the following steps:

1. Created new interval to have the depreciation start back on (2 months after the asset was shut down)

2. Change depr keys back to ZSTL from 0000

3. Reversed the unplanned depr that was taken when the asset was shut down via AB08.

What SAP is doing is extending the UL of the assets by 2-3 months past the time that the asset should be fully depreciated. What I expect SAP to do is to increase the depreciation expense going forward after the asset was turned back ON while the remaining UL stays exactly the same (in other words I expect SAP to amortize the remaining NBV over the remaining UL keeping in mind that for 2 months this asset should not have been depreciating because it was turned OFF).

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks,

Jessie
