Hi All,

I am working on OCM.Steps are as follows:

1. Created BOM with change no and valid from date 01.04.2009

2. Created Production order wuth start date 23.04.2009 and finish date 25.04.2009

3. Created change no with release key with valid from date 22.04.2009

4. Changed BOM using new change no - changed quantity from 1 to 3

5. Assign release key in change no

6. Performed all steps in COCM

Problem is in production order system creates one line item additional with (same line no 0010) changed quantity and keep the previous line item as it. It should not create new line item.

Old BOM 0010 XYZ 1

New BOM 0010 XYZ 3

In prod Order it is showing 0010 XYZ 1

0010 XYZ 3

It should not show 0010 XYZ 1 as I changed the qty from 1 to 3

Please giude on th issue.

Regards,

Mayura

Dear,

T Code :- COCM

Tick Change Number and Select the Change Number & Execute

Select the Production Order, click on “Procurement element” icon you get another screen select and execute again.

You get an Pop-Up screen. "Determine changes”, “Check changes”, “Change Original Order”.

you see the changes in BOM for Production Order i.e. after COCM.

Have you checked in COCM1?

Hi Bramhankar,

Thanks for th ereply.

I have already performed all the steps in COCM. Problem is that I changed quantity of one component. After COCM in production order, system is keeping the same line item as it is (0010) and creating other line item with the same item no 0010 with new changed quantity.

Before COCM:

0010 XYZ 1 qty. Then I changed quantity as 3. It should be in production order as 0010 XYZ 3. But it is showing as

0010 XYZ 1

0010 XYZ 3. My problem is it should not keep the old quantity as it.

Also when I go for CO15 it is not showing the changed or added components for backflush. It gives the message as Overview contains plus/minus components engineering change mgmt.

Dear,

When you release the Change Number useing Release Key till then you don't find the Change of BOM in Production Order.

You can see the changes in BOM for Production Order i.e. after COCM.

Then Confirm the Changes in Production Order then New changes will be Active in production Order as you are getting it is Add object.

In that transaction if we see the changes made there it is showing in the status column.

You can track by using COCM1.

Please refer this link,

Hope clear to you.

Dear,

Have you configured the profile in OPL7 & OPL9, assign the same in material master?

Please refer the OSS note 390635 for planned quantity of the components changes and new componend added.
