If you have enough authorizations, you can try to check the PC is valid. Then you need check start variable is fully maintained.

Hi All,

This is a BASIS issue and they resolved the problem.

I tried scheduleing a periodic job for other PC's and they gave me the same error message.

So I raised a ticket for BASIS. They solved the issue.

Hi,

Are you using any restrictions while scheduling?

The date /time may not match with the restrictions used.

Thanks

Hi ,

Can you please share what all you are giving in the date/time tab while scheduling?

In date/time I gave date as 22/04/2009 and time as 22:00:00 and then clicked on periodic job tick and then gave the period value as Daily, Save , SAve,SAve.

SElect the PC and clicked on F8.

the above step gave me error. ( same error message provided in before note)

Later I tried every thing same as above for 23/04/2009.

Still it gave me the same error message.

Hi,

Do you have enough authorisations to trigger a background job? Also make sure your background user (RFC_USER/ ALEREMOTE) has enough authorisations.

Thanks

Hi Friend,

Please go to the Menu bar Process Chain -> Attributes -> Execution User.

Select the BW Background user and give the name of the background user in your system.

Then Activate and schedule the process chain as desired.

Error is on on BW 3.1 ......I did not found EXECUTION USER under attributes.

I saw the BACKGROUND SERVER and this is correctly defined.
