EPM COnflict with .net Framework

Former Member

I am running Windows 10

.Net Framework 4.7.2 came with an automatic update

Microsoft Office 2010

EPM version 10.0 SP 28 patch 3 .net 4.5 build 9843

Ever since the last Windows 10 upgrade, I get a constant error message

Any ideas what is causing, how to fix?

Hi,

FYI:

I have exactly the same issue. The error only appears with Win 10 and 64bit of Office + EPM, when the option "Enable Manual Entry of Members" in EPM > Options > User Options > Others is turned on. The error started popping up with the .Net 4 versions of EPM. There is no issue with 32bit Office + EPM.

We raised an incident with SAP. For the time being I turned off the Manual Entry option.

Sorry, but do you use Office 2010 like question author?

No, I am on Office 365 Pro Plus (Version 1708 Build 8431.2270). The error message is the same.

Can you present error screenshot?

Attached is the screen print

Btw, the error pops up when trying to adjust the size of the EPM Context bar with the "manual entry" option turned on.

Looks like you have to wait for SP33+ and contact SAP support.

Even if you perform NET debugging to find the exact reason - you will not be able to fix it

That's what I think too. Thanks

I have no issues with NET 4.7.03056 (based on registry value) on Windows 10 with Office 2016 and EPM SP31.

Have you tested different (latest) version of EPM? SP32? With full reinstall?

I have tried to find a way to downgrade .net framework, but there does not appear to be a way to do that after getting the Windows 10 latest updates.
