"Change Source" feature not working in webi. It's throwing error WIS 30270

A webi report is working fine in Production environment, when i change the source data by using feature "Change Source" and give the same universe name under "Specify a data source", it's not working and trowing an error. WIS 30270. Please help .

Hi Lakshmi,

Unfortunately, you haven't mentioned the version of your BI Platform. However, the below SAP Note might be relevant for your case:

• 2431970 - After change source Error: An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' ...

To verify this, please disable Query Stripping in the Document Properties and in the Query Properties as well, before performing the change source workflow. I'd also suggest generating High level E2E trace logs to check if you can find the errors mentioned in the SAP Note.

Why do you want to change the data source to the same source? No wonder it fails.
The change data souce is used only when migrating to another universe, i.e. after building a new one.

if it is new, try changing the name. Are there data in both universes? Otherwise it WILL fail.
