Supply tasks in production model

Hi,

raw materials (like bar stock) often remain in wharehouse directly at the same place, where the ressources (eg cutting machines) is located. Therefore they do not need to be supplied. Furthermore those materials regularly have identified stock.

On the other hand one would like to put them at the correct activity in the production model to see them on the production task and documents.

If there is a situation like the described one, the supply task cannot be confirmed, because there is no transport.

How can this be handled in ByD?

Kind Regards,

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

If the in case there already is raw materials available in the production floor and supply task is configured in the production model, you can choose not to confirm the supply task and directly confirm the make task. In ByDesign we do have this flexibility. The supply task not being confirmed does not hinder you to continue with your production with the available raw materials in the floor.

Anand
