SAP Portal upgrade error in step Unregister Services with New Start Profiles

Hi,

We are upgrading our SAP NW EP from version 7.0 to 7.4 via SUM and during the down time phase we are encountering a error in the phase Unregister Services with New Start Profiles. Below is the error we get:

entering sapcontrol service using saphostagent for host xxxxxxers, with instance number 85 .Jul 30, 2018 4:32:20 PM [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sun.xml.internal.ws.fault.ServerSOAPFaultException: Client received SOAP Fault from server: Failed to

load profile (Generic error: Inconsistency found in profile '/usr/sap/TEP/SYS/profile/TEP_ERS85_xxxxxxx'.). Please check your installation. Please see the server log to find more detail regarding

exact cause of the failure..

It is a distributed environment and we are running the SUM from the primary application server.

According to the note 2151089 we have already updated the host agent in all the servers and their level is latest.

Also looked at note 2352172 and increased the trace level to 3 and looked into the error, but still we are not able to go through.

Any help for the above error is highly appreciated.

We tried manually giving the command in the ERS server but receive the same error as below:

./saphostctrl -function UnregisterInstanceService -sid TEP -nr 85 -saplocalhost xxxxxx -profile /usr/sap/TEP/SYS/profile/TEP_ERS85_xxxxxxx

I dint know that's the case , apologies for that, now i have added the software logistics tag into the primary tag, hope it is fine.

We should start by checking profile TEP_ERS85* to begin. Is the profile correctly mounted?

Are you able to add the logs in a container? Or provide us with more details here in the thread?
