WM Label Printing to different printers from a COR6 process Order Receipt

We have PP integration turned on with Warehouse management for process orders.

Currently when the COR6 transaction is completed for the process order we have WM print control (OMLV -> Assignments -> Printer ->Whse Movement) configured to automatically print a label for the warehouse from storage type 901 to *** when this receipt transaction happens.

This has been working fine but now the business wants to add another printer into the process which will be located elsewhere for a second production line. A COR6 transaction from this NEW production line would also trigger the existing printer from 901 to ***.

I cannot see any way of making this work without having to consider a user exit?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pls tag your your question to tag: LE (Logistics Execution) . You will have better chance of getting a good suggestions this seem to be related to TO printing issue.

Now, not knowing the physical layout of your plant as well as your warehouse design, I see that you can have the following options:

1) Use Default Printer defined for each user in user master. For this approach you will need to remove your printer setup at "Warehouse Movement" level. You will also need to maintain the default Printers in SU3 >Default tab. This will work if a worker works at the same production line always. It will not if workers can work at both the lines, in this case the users will have to keep changing default printers in their user master as they change lines.

2) If Static Printers per users are not possible, you can use "LOCL" type prints in the user defaults which will then take the default desktop printer at each line. For this to work each workstations where GR is posted will need to have a default windows printer defined.

3) If there is flexibility to move the Printers from production lines to warehouse area then you might want to assign printers to your "Storage Type" instead of "Warehouse Movement".

Hope this helps.
