dear all,
I have a question about object in Performance Management.
In our Company, there should be relationship (A-608) maintained between Job (C) and appraisal template (VA). But when I tried to maintain this relationship between a existing Job and a existing template, the System tell me that the template does not exist. but I check the data thru se16n and in table HRP1000, the both objects exist. So I don´t understand why the error Comes. Can somebody help me to give me a direction where I should check? The objects are only maintained in German. So the system language in the attached file is German. Very appreciate when some one can give me a hint. Thanks, Yingprodd001lochomeba29611homedesktop1.pngprodd001lochomeba29611homedesktop2.png
Hello Ying,
So the object selected for maintaining the relationship is also VA right ?
Then for such an issue, it is needed to debug and see where this error message is raised.
You can try the follows.
=================================
1. Type /H in the command field before pressing save button for the new relationship.
2. Press Save button, and this action will trigger the debugging.
3. Make watch points on SY-MSGID and SY-MSGNO, to fine where the error was raised.
=================================
As for how to find out the error message ID and number, please click on the error message
'Objekt 01 VA 0052445 ist nich vorhanden', and then there will be a popup for the message ID and number.
For generally ways of debugging error messages, you can also have a look at the part of
'An error message is prompted' part of the below KBA.

Hello Lucy,
thank you for your quickly Response. We don´t use BA or BS. We only use VA and VB as object type for personnel development.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Ying

Hello Ying,
Nice day.
Would you please check whether it is the VA object Type selected when maintaining the relationship ?
Actually, we have two solutions for performance management. One is the old BA, BS object type.
While the other is the new VA, VB object type.
From your HRP1000 I can see that VA object with ID of 52445 exists. But I cannot see the object type
selected when trying the maintain the relationship.
So can you have a look at this first ?
Best regards.
