HI experts,
I have a scenario as mentioned below--
there are two plants say one is 500 & another is 600.planning plant is 600.now in plant 500 there are 5 p/cs & in plant 600 another 5 p/cs available material & i need to create maintenance order for plant 500 , for which I need 10 p/cs of material.so whether system will check material availability for both plants & will create reservation for 10 p/cs? or it will check only for plant 500 & will create reservation only for 5 p/cs?please explain in details.thanks in advance.

Hi,
This means your material is defined at both plant levels 500 and 600.Does both plant level materials have availability check in MRP data.As in MM availability check happens at plant level-storage location level for reservations even if in PM we define availabilty check scope at order type which is at planning plant level actual check depneds on material master parameters.
Hence it should happen on plant level and not on planning plant level. But I am not sure n this, get help from MM guys.Reason is they define requirements parameters for reservations and that is governing parameter

Hi
Check whether planning plant 600 is assigned for both 500 and 600 plant. If that so.. you can use the materials from another plant also...
Avability check will takes place with respect to plant and order type... i think... u can proceed with this.

hi,
if your planning plant 600 is assigned to MP 500 and then you would creating MO in planning plant for technical object existing in MP 500 .. and Material avialaibility chek would happen for materials in planning plant becoz in spro for a combination of order type and avialabilty type you would assign the scope of check and order type is assigned to planning plant .. chek this ..
