IT0221 Adjustment Does Not Calculcate Wage Types /641 and /741 (California Employee Disability)

Prior to 2018, when we entered an IT0221 adjustment (Payment Type 0098) such as Moving Expense for a California employee, we included /441 (Employee Disability) which was properly deducted in the payroll results. The payroll results also populated wage types /641 and /741 for the gross amount. Starting 01/01/2018, the calculation of /641 and /741 does not take place automatically. If we add them manually to the IT0221 entry, it works, but that was not needed before. I checked our configuration including V_512W_D and BSI overrides but did not see any issues.

Any ideas of what may have changed starting in 2018? Is this possibly a BSI issue for tax type 41? (Please note that if we add Moving Expense as an IT0015 payment, /641 and /741 calculate correctly. It seems to be an issue only with IT0221.)

Thanks,

Larry

Hello Larry,

Could you confirm if you have SAP note?

2556609 - TAX: Missing tax types 31, 41, 76 and 84 on off-cycle calculation

You need to check how the constant FTTAX is customized in T511K too.

Kind regards,
Graziela

Hi Graziela,

Thanks so much for the note recommendation. I don't recall it had appeared in my previous searches, but that fixed the issue when tested in our Sandbox system. We had not previously applied the note but it is included in our current round of support pack updates in our Sandbox system, and it worked in our test case. I will apply it in our Dev system and move it forward.

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Larry
