Dear All,
We are looking at possibility of changing the existing pick strategy to a serpentine pick path in warehouse. Our storage bin structure is 8 alpha numeric format. Kindly suggest how to configure the below logic in Define Sort Sequence for Stock Removal (Picking)
Awaiting for reply
Thank & regards,
Mohan
Think my follow on comment has been lost.
...... Define Profiles/Profile for TO Splitting
In this step, create and profile against which you can assign the sort order you wish the TO to be created in.
In this example, sort profile 3 (B2BPCK) has been created
Nest step is to create a Sort profile in which you configure the order you require. In this example, profile 3 has a 1st sort on the storage type, 2nd sort on the storage section and 3rd sort on the sort order for picking field inthe bin master (REIHF)
The final step is to assign this to the storage types(s), movement types for which this order is required. In this example, any TO created to withdraw stock from storage type WHO into storage type 916 with a movement type = 601, will be sorted in the order configured (REIHF)
Hope this helps 🙂
Cheers

Hi
There are 3 more settings I think you are missing:
SPRO/LE/WM/Activities/Transfers/Processing Performance data_TO Split/

Update field REIHF directly in the bin master, in the sequence that you want to pick as a 6 digit number. This example is using a single increment, but you might want to consider larger increments as that leaves you the capability of inserting new bins into the Whs if required.
Bin No REIHF
AA101A01 000001
AA101A02 000002
AA101A03 000003
AB101A01 000004
AB101A02 000005
AB101A03 000006
AA102A01 000007
AA102A02 000008
AA102A03 000009
AB102A01 000010
AB102A02 000011
AB102A03 000012
You will then need to maintain the Sort profile for TO splitting to include field REIHF when creating the pick TO's
Hope this helps

Looks like the storage section search field is throwing it off. Storage type is constant (AD1) and storage section is following the correct sort (AA1, AA3, AB1). The bin sort within the sections isn't running in ascending numerical order which suggest (without being able to see the field in your screenshot) REIHF is being followed ?

Just noticed that you are also using batch management. This might be having an impact on your sort profiles as it isn't maintained within the sort criteria.

Are you using Profile Performance data ? I'm not using this so the field is blank in my system, but that might be unrelated.
I remember reading somewhere that the sort profile only works if you maintain a weight/volume limit in the 'Profile for TO splitting', I haven't witnessed this myself, but you could try maintaining a volume limit of say 99,999,999.000 as a test ??
Other than that, I'm at a bit of a loss as this is working fine in my system 😞

Hi
Did you also maintain the Performance Data as suggested ??

Hi Android,
Sorry for late reply, As suggested we maintained sort field sequence no in bin master and created delivery order. But we not got expected result.
Please refer below screen shot for reference, Guide if we did any thing wrong.
Sort picking field is maintained according to sequence no (highlighted in yellow)
Delivery order created and TO generated.
But system not generated TO according to Sort field pick sequence as maintained in system. Highlighted in yellow is expected result.
for example:- Expected sequence 1 is in the 3rd place instead of 1st.
Regards,
Mohan
