Invalid Attribute in RR

Hi Experts,

Requirement: In some cases the results for MIC need not be entered at all. This can be done by putting invalid attribute in the result recording and force closing the qualitative Characteristics if it is summarized RR.

If quantitative and single results, we need to give atleast one result entry to invalidate the result.

But in the first case even if I force close the inspection (thus in RR status is 5) when coming to UD, it is shown as valuation failed for these Chars (status 2). There fore my status profile to block UD gets triggered as the Chars dont have status 5. But if I go to RR screen the status is 5.

Have anybody encountered this before ? To me if the chars have status 5 in RR it should no show up in UD as valuation failed and status 2.

Im not getting such error. What is the sampling type and valuation mode you are using for quali char. And is there any description against the yellow arrow mark

Hi Gajesh,

No messages other than Status '2' and Failed

Sampling type = 100% INspection

Valuation mode = Attributive inspection nonconf. units

I have the following settings which is recommended for the status profile if your intention is to make result recording mandatory before UD and Stock posting

INIT -

Complete inventory posting - Forbidden / No action

Make usage decision - Forbidden / No action

Record inspection results - Allowed

QFIN

Close inspection - complete - Allowed /Set

Complete insp. - short-term - Allowed /Set

Start inv. pstg bef. UsageDec - Forbidden / No action

I need to allow inventory posting before UD. I will try with your setting.

But coming to other problem of invalid attributes, have you ever encountered the error I am encountering.

I have MIC qualitative summarized. and quantitative single results.

In some lots I dont want to record results. Hence I reject/ or accept the qual chars and put invalid attribute.

For quant chars, I put some values, I reject/accept the values and put invalid attribute.

And I force close the characteristics. All the summarized qualitative chars show up in UD screen as valuation failed, status 2 and a yellow down arrow in the "Charateristics" tab in UD.

Are u rejecting the summarised MIC when you do the force completion. Also let me know what is the user status you have mentioned for the same.

Rejecting or Accepting gives the same status ' 2 ' when coming to UD screen. But I am puzzled about these status '2' in UD
