Hi,

even if you manage to achieve this, it's a sheer 'pretent' security.

Example:

Record 1 valid 01-01-2008 to 31-12-2008

Record 2 valid 01-01-2009 to 31-12-2009

Depending on the time constraint deleting the last record, which if TC = 1, will lead to extension of record 1 from 01-01-2008 to 31-12-9999.

Instead of deleting users may also overwrite the current record or extend the previous record, all leading to in essence, deletion of record 2.

So, it's a 'make-pretent' security.

My advise: proper training for end-users!!! In combination with audit logging which at least allows you to track recorded changes (deletions) of data.

Wilfred.

Hi Wilfred,

Thanks for the reply

I agree with your point..... i had suggested the same...that even if Delete button is made invincible , the users may try to overwrite the records using copying or changing........

But as the users are spread across, and the proper training would take some time the client wants to do this as of now.....and then restore the facility....

Even can we deal this through Authoisations ?

in the change autorization(in tcode PFCG).. check the function code (DEL). i feel a person who is given INS will have the auth to delete also..

Hi,

I don't think this is possible through authorisations. Lets wait for others to throw some light on this.

You may however create screen variant using T.Code SHD0 and hide the delete button in the variant.

Hi Srijit,

One more option you can implement the BADI HRBAS00INFTY where you can give an error message if delete button is pressed .
