PDF takes a long time to render (online/offline).

Hello guys,

I created a interactive form webdynpro project by following this How to do document: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4fd2d690-0201-0010-de83-b4fa0c93...

But the PDF takes a very long time to render. This happens both when I deploy the online interactive form as well as when I upload a offline interactive form.

What could be wrong.

Hello,

Can u mention what Designer Version and Adobe reader version are you using? Also specifty if you are using any activeX controls.

Hi Virag,

The version am using is 7.1 (Livecycle designer)

Not sure how to find out if I am running ActiveX, is it a browser setting?

The PDF that I designed is taking like 10 minutes to open and while its opening, its taking all the system resources as I see a prompt on the task bar "Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low".

Installing version 8.0 will solve this ?

I am on NWDS sp18.

its the reader version tht causes more problem thn designer version.. anywys make sure that the Reader version you use while designing the form is same as the one use at runtime.

For eg : if u develop te form from a machin which has reader 8.0 , then make sure client machine at runtime also uses 8.0.

Morever, use ZCI layout as much as possible.

The above are not thumb rules , but have solved my issues sm times

Hi Tony,

Try uninsalling the Adobe Reader on your machine and then install again. Sometimes this happens due to reader issues.
