Hi all,

I need to understand how SAP sets SY-DAYST at 'X' or blank. I need to know what standard table is used to tell you if SY-DAYST is summertime or wintertime. I guess it takes in input sy-datum and returns sy-dayst 'X' or blank.

Please help.

James

It's based on the "system time zone" according to the ABAP documentation System Fields for Date and Time. So, you're right, SY-DATUM and SY-UZEIT are based on the system time zone too. So, it's not based on a standard table (only the time zone definition in tables TTZ* + computer internal clock/web synchro).
